Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across Colorado and surrounding states
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation to ensure timely deliveries
- Load/unload cargo with proper securing techniques per FMCSA regulations
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and potential delays
- Adhere to all federal/state traffic laws and company safety protocols
- Complete required paperwork including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with minimum 2 years verifiable experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and random drug screenings
- Familiarity with mountain driving conditions and winter weather protocols
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and weight distribution principles
- Strong communication skills for client interactions
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including overnight trips
- High school diploma or equivalent required
