Job Overview
As a Dedicated OTR Driver, you will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently across the United States. You will represent Metro Freight Logistics as a professional, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to all safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver freight on time and within the designated route.
- Maintain professional communication with dispatch, customers, and management.
- Ensure the security of cargo and adherence to weight and load limits.
- Document mileage, fuel consumption, and cargo status using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD).
- Uphold strict adherence to FMCSA, DOT, and company safety policies and regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel and operate in various weather conditions.
