Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional weekend routes (Charlotte, NC to Atlanta, GA corridor)
- Maintain meticulous delivery logs and compliance documentation (FMCSA regulations)
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs via digital tracking system
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for real-time route optimization and delivery timing
- Ensure cargo security and temperature control for specialized freight
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points with professional conduct
- Participate in quarterly safety training sessions and equipment certifications
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Hazmat endorsement preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficient with ELD devices and digital routing platforms
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical loading/unloading duties
- Flexible schedule availability (weekends + potential weekday coverage)
