Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks for local/regional deliveries across NYC metro area
- Execute weekend delivery schedules with 100% on-time performance
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain electronic logs (ELD)
- Coordinate with dispatch teams using mobile communication systems
- Handle specialized freight requiring temperature control or HazMat endorsement
- Adhere strictly to NYC traffic regulations and parking restrictions
- Document delivery exceptions and customer interactions via mobile app
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean MVR (no moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- NYC-specific navigation expertise and bridge/tunnel knowledge
- Weekend availability (Saturday/Sunday 6am-6pm)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Pass DOT physical and random drug screening
- Tanker or HazMat endorsement preferred
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD)
