Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and vehicle readiness.
- Load and unload freight securely and efficiently, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, HOS (Hours of Service) rules, and company safety policies.
- Navigate delivery routes efficiently, monitoring traffic conditions and weather alerts.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all necessary delivery paperwork.
- Represent the company professionally while interacting with customers, vendors, and the public.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately to the dispatch team.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driverβs License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial vehicle.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Physically fit to perform duties including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as required.
