Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) on designated routes within Texas and surrounding regions.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and hand trucks while adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Ensure the security of cargo and the preservation of the vehicle's condition during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Willingness to work nights and weekends as scheduled.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and communication.
