Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) safely and efficiently on the highway and local routes.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and daily inspection reports.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Keep the truck clean, organized, and well-maintained to ensure a professional image.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record (no more than 2 minor violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable truck driving experience in the past 5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of Georgia and surrounding state routes.
- Basic mechanical skills to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Ability to work weekends (Friday night through Sunday night) and holidays as required.
