Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods and packages to designated addresses in the Indianapolis area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring packages are handled with care and organized efficiently.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, answering questions and resolving delivery issues.
- Utilize handheld devices to scan packages, update delivery statuses, and manage routes.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free, and organized work area in the vehicle and at distribution centers.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and DOT regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current DOT medical card.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Basic computer literacy for handheld delivery devices.
- Availability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
