Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) on designated routes throughout Jacksonville, FL and Georgia.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any issues immediately.
- Load and unload freight accurately and efficiently using various equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging devices (ELD) and all required paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with proper endorsements.
- Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial truck driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong commitment to safety and time management.
- Must be willing and able to work weekends and holiday shifts.
