Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently to deliver cargo to designated locations in and around Wichita, KS.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring cargo security during transit.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records in strict accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve any delivery issues or route changes promptly.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable truck driving experience preferred.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a consistent basis.
- Strong knowledge of road conditions, traffic patterns, and safety regulations.
- Basic computer skills for logging and paperwork.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
