Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo safely using proper equipment, adhering to weight limits and securing loads appropriately.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily delivery logs.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and terminals during pickup and delivery.
- Adhere to all DOT safety regulations and company safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delays, traffic, or delivery issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and DOT Drug Screen.
- 21 years of age or older as required by federal law.
- Ability to pass a background check (MVR/DUI/Convictions).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to read and understand maps and GPS.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
