Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely operate Class A trucks to deliver cargo across the Dallas metroplex and surrounding areas.
- Load & Unload: Efficiently manage the loading and unloading of freight, ensuring cargo security and proper handling.
- Maintain Compliance: Strictly adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS) and electronic logging device (ELD) requirements.
- Vehicle Inspection: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in top operating condition.
- Customer Service: Represent Prime Logistics professionally, maintaining a positive relationship with shippers and receivers.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery paperwork, bills of lading, and other required administrative duties.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL: Must possess a current, valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A) with a clean driving record.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable experience in commercial truck driving.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a consistent basis.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read and comprehend maps and delivery instructions.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and sit for extended periods.
