Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) for weekend delivery routes within DC metro area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging systems (ELD) compliance
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Handle secure cargo transportation with strict adherence to safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and local traffic laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Washington DC metropolitan area roadways
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Flexibility to work weekends (Saturday/Sunday) with occasional weekday support
