Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Safely operate commercial vehicles on local and regional routes throughout Sacramento.
- Load and secure cargo accurately, adhering to weight distribution and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse staff.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) and a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safety procedures.
- Must be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid US driver's license.
- Willingness to work varying weekend shifts, including early mornings and late nights.
