Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A) to transport freight across North Carolina and surrounding states
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using electronic logging systems
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while prioritizing road safety and customer satisfaction
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and any issues
- Follow all DOT regulations and company policies at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by North Carolina
- Pass a DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
