Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for weekend deliveries throughout NYC metro area
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Efficiently manage delivery routes while maintaining on-time performance
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, clients, and warehouse teams
- Handle secure cargo transportation with documentation accuracy
- Operate in all weather conditions while prioritizing safety
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Strong knowledge of NYC traffic patterns and delivery restrictions
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Ability to work independently while following precise instructions
- Flexibility for occasional weekday coverage as needed
