Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) for weekend deliveries throughout New Orleans metro area
- Perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Load/unload freight with precision using pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided)
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Optimize routes for timely weekend deliveries using GPS technology
- Report maintenance issues promptly to fleet management
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to work Saturdays and Sundays consistently
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Louisiana commercial routes preferred
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside assistance
- Excellent time management and communication skills
