Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks, ensuring timely delivery of freight in the Cleveland OH and Texas markets.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain high safety standards and DOT compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual handling, ensuring cargo is secure and undamaged.
- Maintain accurate records using electronic logging devices (ELD) and daily logs in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to update on delivery status and address any concerns.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and local regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required (Texas or Ohio endorsement preferred).
- Must possess a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical) valid for at least 6 months.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no DUI, reckless driving, or at-fault accidents within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work weekends and occasional holidays as required by the schedule.
