As a Weekend Driver, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain, ensuring that critical goods are delivered safely and on time. We prioritize safety culture and driver satisfaction above all else.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) on assigned routes throughout the Detroit metro area and surrounding regions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper equipment such as straps, chains, and forklifts.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and all required delivery documentation.
- Adhere to strict time schedules and traffic laws to ensure on-time delivery.
- Represent the company professionally while interacting with customers and warehouse personnel.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT drug screen.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, cargo securement, and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading.
- Must be available to work weekends (Friday - Sunday) consistently.
