Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely drive 18-wheelers and box trucks to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition.
- Load & Unload: Utilize loading docks and forklifts to load and unload cargo, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain Logs: Accurately complete and maintain electronic logging device (ELD) records and DVIR inspections.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, company policies, and traffic laws.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel to ensure satisfaction.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Report any mechanical issues immediately to maintain fleet safety standards.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Must hold a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of driving experience preferred (Class A preferred).
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass a post-offer drug screen and background check.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to read maps and navigate routes.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
