Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vans to transport goods to residential and business locations throughout San Diego.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and proper lifting techniques.
- Verify delivery accuracy and obtain digital signatures from customers to complete the transaction.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the van is in safe operating condition and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Manage delivery documentation accurately, including bills of lading and mileage logs.
- Maintain a professional image by keeping the vehicle clean and presentable at all times.
- Adhere to traffic laws and company safety protocols to ensure the safety of the public and our team.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or equivalent state driver's license.
- Minimum of 2 years of driving experience in a logistics, delivery, or courier capacity.
- Familiarity with San Diego area streets and traffic patterns is highly preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Excellent time management and the ability to work efficiently within a schedule.
- Technologically proficient with smartphone usage for navigation and delivery apps.
