Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vans and delivery trucks on designated routes in the Sacramento area.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight for transport.
- Verify delivery addresses, obtain signatures, and communicate delivery status with customers.
- Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical condition of the vehicle, reporting any issues immediately.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Process paperwork accurately, including bills of lading and delivery logs.
- Provide exceptional customer service and handle inquiries professionally.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred, but a clean standard driver’s license is accepted with strong driving experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of driving experience in a delivery or logistics role.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route optimization software.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
