Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vans to deliver packages and supplies to designated locations within Portland metropolitan area
- Maintain accurate delivery records using electronic tracking systems and route planning software
- Inspect vehicles daily for safety compliance and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and handle inquiries professionally
- Adhere to all traffic regulations, safety protocols, and company policies
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize routes and resolve delivery challenges
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit
Qualifications
- Valid Class C driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience or equivalent van delivery background
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs regularly and maneuver in tight spaces
- Strong knowledge of Portland streets, traffic patterns, and delivery zones
- Proficient with GPS navigation and basic mobile technology
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and occasional weekends
