Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Safely load and unload cargo, verifying packages against delivery manifests.
- Navigate efficiently through New Orleans traffic and local routes to meet delivery deadlines.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients at drop-off locations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and vehicle mileage records.
- Perform light maintenance tasks, such as fueling and cleaning, to keep the van in top condition.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of driving experience in a commercial or delivery capacity.
- Strong knowledge of the Greater New Orleans area and surrounding regions.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer literacy for logging deliveries and tracking inventory.
