Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vans to transport freight and cargo to designated delivery locations in the Milwaukee metro area.
- Load and unload merchandise using hand trucks, dollies, and proper lifting techniques to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Inspect vehicle for mechanical issues before and after routes to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and delivery documentation in strict compliance with DOT regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients at delivery points, resolving any issues professionally.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and time management schedules.
- Keep the vehicle interior clean, organized, and free of debris.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or equivalent commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations or DUIs within the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and pre-trip inspection procedures.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
