Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery van to transport cargo to various locations within Mesa and the surrounding valley area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any maintenance issues immediately.
- Load and unload freight carefully, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent damage.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, handling signatures and inquiries professionally.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving policies at all times.
- Report any accidents or incidents to management immediately as required.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or equivalent commercial driving experience.
- Achieved or working towards a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Previous experience driving box trucks or delivery vans is highly preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong knowledge of Mesa, AZ geography and local traffic patterns.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
