Responsibilities
- Safe Vehicle Operation: Safely operate commercial vans for local and regional deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Cargo Handling: Efficiently load and unload packages, ensuring items are handled with care and securely fastened during transit.
- Customer Interaction: Provide a professional face to our company by greeting clients and ensuring accurate delivery of goods.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and vehicle condition reports (DVIR) at the end of each shift.
- Route Planning: Utilize GPS and route-planning software to optimize delivery schedules and minimize fuel consumption.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify any mechanical issues and report them promptly.
Qualifications
- License & Endorsements: Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is highly preferred; Class C with good driving record may be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of driving experience in a commercial or passenger vehicle.
- Record: Clean driving abstract (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Skills: Proficiency with handheld scanners, tablets, and standard navigation apps.
