Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial cargo vans and box trucks in a professional manner, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo carefully to prevent damage, ensuring accurate inventory counts.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Complete and maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery paperwork in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with consignees and shippers at delivery locations.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS technology to optimize delivery routes and ensure on-time performance.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and cargo area at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License (Class B with CDL preferred).
- A clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting packages up to 50 lbs and loading cargo into the van.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting purposes.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
