Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Safely load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Adhere to strict traffic laws and company route protocols to guarantee timely deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior at all times.
- Interact professionally with customers and resolve delivery issues efficiently.
- Document delivery records and handle paperwork accurately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or equivalent commercial driving experience.
- Must possess a clean driving record free of major violations.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in local delivery or van driving.
- Strong understanding of traffic regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
