Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vans to deliver goods to residential and commercial addresses throughout the Indianapolis metropolitan area.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are properly secured to prevent damage during transit.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company driving policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers, handling packages with a high degree of care and maintaining a positive company image.
- Accurately complete delivery logs, timesheets, and necessary paperwork, including digital signatures.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or equivalent commercial driver's permit required.
- Automobile Driver's License (Class C) is mandatory in addition to the Class B CDL.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional driving experience preferred; entry-level candidates with strong clean records considered.
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
