Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vans on local routes throughout the Chicago metropolitan area.
- Load and unload merchandise using pallet jacks and hand trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Interact professionally with customers, ensuring packages are delivered with care and accuracy.
- Complete and submit daily delivery logs, mileage reports, and vehicle condition reports on time.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and cargo area at all times.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience preferred, but willing to train candidates with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of the Chicago road network and local geography is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
