Responsibilities
- Transport goods safely and efficiently to designated delivery points in the Los Angeles area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the van is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing items to prevent damage.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Interact professionally with customers, handling package handling inquiries and receipts.
- Accurately complete delivery logs and digital paperwork using company apps.
Qualifications
- Clean Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred, but valid driver's license with good history accepted for smaller vans.
- Achieved passing score on a background check and drug screening.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience in a logistics or delivery capacity.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with the Los Angeles road network and traffic patterns.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to remain courteous under pressure.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting is a plus.
