Responsibilities
- Delivery Execution: Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport packages to residential and commercial addresses within the Chula Vista area.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, ensuring a positive unboxing experience and handling any delivery exceptions or complaints efficiently.
- Vehicle Care: Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the delivery vehicle through daily inspections and routine maintenance checks.
- Route Planning: Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules to optimize efficiency and meet daily performance metrics.
- Package Handling: Load and unload packages carefully, ensuring proper organization and protecting items during transit.
- Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery logs and incident reports, accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A valid Class C Driver's License is mandatory.
- Clean Record: A clean driving record with no major violations (e.g., DUI, reckless driving) in the last 3-5 years.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly, and stand/walk for long periods.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read maps and navigate effectively.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
