Responsibilities
- Safe & Timely Deliveries: Navigate efficiently through San Jose and surrounding areas to deliver packages to customers with care and accuracy.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers to ensure satisfaction and handle package exceptions or returns courteously.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your delivery vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Package Handling: Load, unload, and organize packages securely in the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Route Management: Follow assigned routes and schedules strictly, utilizing provided navigation tools to optimize delivery efficiency.
- Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary delivery paperwork and digital logs required by company policy.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or equivalent is required.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old to operate a commercial vehicle.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills in English; ability to read maps and follow written directions.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
