Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial cargo van to deliver goods to local and regional destinations on time.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and delivery receipts.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no DUIs within the last 7 years).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of driving experience in a similar role.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong knowledge of Baltimore streets and local geography is highly preferred.
- Basic computer skills for logging delivery information.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
