Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vans to deliver goods to residential and commercial locations within the Columbus metro area.
- Load and unload cargo using dollies, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, ensuring items are secured properly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the van is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the delivery vehicle and submit accurate delivery logs.
- Provide excellent customer service, handling any delivery exceptions or inquiries professionally.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) (or Class C with appropriate endorsements) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of driving experience in a similar delivery or logistics role.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks on-site.
- Familiarity with delivery software or handheld scanners is a plus.
- Must have a clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3 years.
