Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A or Class B trucks to transport freight throughout New York and surrounding regions.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required documentation.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution and load safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) (Class A or Class B) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical) and DOT drug screen clearance.
- Pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Strong knowledge of New York traffic patterns and highway systems.
- Ability to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) consistently.
- Excellent customer service skills and problem-solving abilities.
