Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for weekend deliveries and freight transport
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems while meeting tight delivery deadlines
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using digital tracking systems
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and route changes
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of Charlotte metro area and surrounding regions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced weekend environment
- Basic computer skills for digital logbooks and communication tools
