Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across Michigan and surrounding regions
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation per FMCSA regulations
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize delivery routes and timelines
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Provide excellent customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding shipment status
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (training provided if needed)
- Must be at least 21 years old with a clean driving record
- No prior trucking experience required—comprehensive training provided
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for weight calculations and logbook entries
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
