Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads against shifting.
- Maintain accurate records of trip logs, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and traffic control devices while driving.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License (Class A or B) is preferred, but not required if you have a clean driving record and are willing to train.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and criminal history review.
- Basic math skills for toll calculations and weight distribution.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally.
