Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Drive commercial trucks to transport goods efficiently and safely across Virginia and surrounding regions.
- Load & Unload Cargo: Assist in the proper loading and unloading of freight to ensure cargo integrity.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify mechanical issues before they become problems.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery records using ELD technology.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company safety policies.
- Customer Service: Deliver professional service to clients, including accurate invoicing and package handling.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (or willingness to complete our sponsored training program).
- Driving Record: A clean driving history with no serious traffic violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, sit for extended periods, and meet physical medical standards.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to use GPS and electronic logging devices.
