Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans in compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently and securely, ensuring all freight is accounted for and protected from damage.
- Maintain accurate logs using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Navigate routes effectively to meet delivery deadlines, including long-haul trips to Texas.
- Handle customer interactions professionally, providing excellent service during pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean driving record and a professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the required endorsements (e.g., Tanker, Hazmat).
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial truck.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Basic computer proficiency for logging and paperwork.
