Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles safely and efficiently over designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution and proper fastening.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and logbooks.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients and shippers.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) or Medical Card on file.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a mandatory DOT drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state trucking regulations.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Valid Commercial Driver's Manual and a clean driving record.
