Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul and regional routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Deliver freight on time while adhering to strict safety protocols
- Collaborate with dispatch team for optimized route planning and load management
- Handle specialized freight requiring temperature control or hazmat endorsement
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass rigorous background check and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices and transportation management systems
- Strong knowledge of Houston metro area and Texas highway systems
- Flexibility for overnight travel and irregular schedules
- Hazmat/Tank endorsements highly preferred
