Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (dry van and refrigerated) for long-haul and regional routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload shipments efficiently with proper handling techniques
- Manage delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Respond proactively to route changes and weather-related challenges
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years verifiable experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling (HME preferred)
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Team player with excellent communication abilities
