Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company safety policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper tie-down techniques to prevent damage or shifting.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and ensure Hours of Service (HOS) compliance.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and defensive driving practices to maintain a clean driving record.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A (or willingness to undergo our sponsored training program if entry-level).
- Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate commerce.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screening.
- Must possess a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic English reading and comprehension skills for safety documentation and communication.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
