Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional and long-haul deliveries
- Adhere to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to meet tight delivery schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for real-time load adjustments
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records
- Provide exceptional customer service during on-site deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Familiarity with NYC metro traffic patterns and infrastructure
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and weight distribution
- Strong communication skills for client interactions
- Flexibility for overnight/weekend shifts as needed
