Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, verifying manifests and handling freight with care.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records strictly adhering to Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Ensure the interior and exterior of the vehicle are clean and well-maintained at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and maintain a professional driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (clean MVR/DOT record).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and cargo securement techniques.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and endure long periods of sitting.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
