Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles (vans or box trucks) following established routes and schedules
- Load, unload, and verify shipment contents with meticulous attention to detail
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain proper signatures for all shipments
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and resolve any issues promptly
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs immediately
- Adapt to dynamic traffic conditions and optimize routes for maximum efficiency
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class C driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience or relevant delivery background
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate in physically demanding conditions
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet strict delivery deadlines
- Excellent customer service orientation and professional communication skills
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and basic delivery tracking systems
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and occasional overtime as needed
- Pass background check and drug screening (company policy)
