Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans on designated delivery routes.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks or pallet jacks, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Verify delivery accuracy and obtain customer signatures for receipts.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and paperwork in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays or issues.
- Keep the vehicle clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and background check.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Must be able to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Must possess a valid Social Security Card and proof of residency.
